about the artists

vals Alarm!

Vals ALARM, consisting of Bram Kniest, Teun Hieltjes, and Yanna Panagopoulos, sets every stage ablaze with an explosive mix of recognizable hits, raw energy, and a healthy dose of humor. From sing-alongs to dance floor bangers: this band knows exactly how to captivate an audience and never let go. Expect no ordinary cover band, but a musical rollercoaster full of surprises, interaction, and a sound that stands as solid as a house. Whether you come to dance, sing, or just enjoy yourself to the max, with False Alarm, the volume goes up, the brakes come off, and standing still is not an option, let alone a possibility...

Johnny and the Spacemachine

Johnny and the Spacemachine mix Afro-groove, funk, and rock ‘n’ roll into a musical space journey. Funky basslines, tasty grooves, sparkling brass, and witty lyrics about our adventures as a band, flash delivery drivers, overconsumption, escapism in the club, and the line between reality and madness.

Live, they take the audience along on their energy: from thematic listening songs to an exuberant dance party. In the fall of 2023, Johnny and the Spacemachine were finalists for the Amsterdam Pop Prize. Previously, they performed at various venues and festivals in Amsterdam and beyond: Paradiso, Melkweg, Cinetol, Funked Up Festival, Mezrab, Singel Festival, Bredeweg Festival, P60, Rollende Keukens, De Nieuwe Anita, and Over de Top Festival. Since 2022, the band has been touring European streets, music cafés, and local festivals in the summer. In December 2025, Johnny and the Spacemachine released a new EP: Mad Views White Lines.

STEFNITZ & MAYAPAPAYA + SHEF ROULÉ

METABOLIC LAB – 12:00 AM – 3:00 AM

This New Year’s Eve, Stefnitz & Mayapapaya b2b2b with none other than Shef Roulé will turn up the heat at De Ceuvel. Forget genres, forget rules, this night is all about a sultry mix of eclectic electronics, cumbia, dancehall, jazz, samba, and everything that gets hips moving. Their back-to-back sets are musical ping-pong full of humor, sexy twists, and just enough chaos to keep it wild.

Usually booked as a duo, but especially for us, they are taking it a step further: with none other than Shef Roulé.

Shef is an experienced world traveler, DJ, and producer, and half of the tropical duo UMOJA, with whom he has toured all over Europe and Africa. With a curious mind and a deep love for worldly sounds, he collects rare gems from all corners of the globe and weaves them into a dance floor-melting mosaic like no other.

Together, the three build a night full of sweat and rhythms that carry you straight into the new year.

THE SHAGGY GREYS

The Shaggy Greys combine an energetic mix of folk, rock, reggae with a touch of soul and plenty of groove. Their journey began six years ago as the dynamic The Shaggy Greys. The lineup is constantly evolving and currently consists of Dean Medina (vocals, guitar), Massimo Imperatore (guitar), Bram van Langen (bass guitar), and Kasparas Petkus (drums). They play on rooftops, giant cargo bikes, in hotel corridors, on big and small stages — with the legendary Beats on a Boat stage as a highlight, where they entertained thousands of guests from all over the world during hundreds of concerts over the years!
