World’s Appreciated Kitsch proudly presents:

CONTENTION (straight edge hardcore/metal, USA)
Contention is a straight edge hardcore band hailing from Tampa, Florida, formed in
2019. Their music draws significant influence from the H8000 scene, reminiscent of
bands like Arkangel and Congress. They debuted with a three-song promo in 2019,
quickly establishing themselves within the hardcore community. In 2021, they
released the EP “Laying Waste to the Kingdom of Oblivion” further solidifying their
aggressive sound. Their debut full-length album, “Artillery From Heaven”, released in
May 2024, showcased their evolution and dedication to the genre, and was definitely
one of the best hardcore/metal releases last year.
Contention’s lyrics often explore themes of urban alienation and apocalyptic
scenarios, reflecting their unyielding straight edge ethos.
They kick off their EU/UK tour with an exclusive Dutch show taking place in
Amsterdam!

CURSELIFTER (metallic hardcore, NL)
Curselifter is a metallic hardcore band from the Netherlands that doesn’t shy away
from societal critique, discussing themes such as sexism, police violence, and
inequality of all forms. After a first year with almost 20 shows throughout the
Netherlands and a new LP, they’ve quickly established themselves as a band to
keep an eye on within the Dutch hardcore scene.

DOGMA (hardcore, NL)
DOGMA is a project that translates a plea for social justice into resilient and hard
hitting music. With their first record ‘Face of Violence‘ one can expect metallic
hardcore aiming its arrows at systemic and institutionalized violence of all flavors and
stenches.
Dogma are back to playing shows after more than one year and we are excited to
have them on board!
