Voices in the Making

How do we make our voices heard—and where do they spread their echo? Voices in the Making brings together students, authors, and editors for an afternoon of exchange on publishing, platforms, and collective expression. We will also celebrate the launch of Peripherals, a new journal from Terminally Online.

Join us for Voices in the Making: an afternoon of talks, discussions and drinks centred on how ideas circulate and take shape through the practice of publishing and other alternatives to empower voices aside traditional publishing methods. Hosted in collaboration with our friends at the Institute of Network Cultures (INC), this event marks the debut of Peripherals, a new journal and archival platform by Terminally Online.

We’ll start by introducing the journal Periphrals and its vision: an experimental space for media research and creative work that lives between digital and academic worlds. Our guests from the INC will then share insights from their project expub, exploring alternative modes of publishing in (sub)cultural spaces. After a short break, contributors to Peripherals will take the floor to present their articles and talk about the stories, methods, and motivations behind their pieces. The programme concludes with a borrel to continue conversations in good company.
