Sad and Gazing is a night devoted to the lush, introspective side of Amsterdam’s underground—a space where distortion and atmosphere take center stage. Rooted in a DIY ethos, we aim to give shoegaze the central platform it rarely gets, inviting audiences into a fog-soaked world of saturated colors and roaring, immersive soundscapes. More than just a concert, Sad and Gazing is about building a community of emotion: creating a shared moment for drifting and feeling lost together in the dreamy haze of shoegaze and dream pop

Barren Sea
Female-fronted 4-piece from Amsterdam combining elements of grunge, slowcore and shoegaze. Barren Sea combines powerful lyrics with raw intensity to create a lingering, emotional live experience.

Crashing
Inspired by shoegaze and alt-rock giants like Dinosaur Jr. and My Bloody Valentine, Crashing indulges in noisy reverberated hooks, intense live performances and raw unfiltered volume with a strong emphasis on DIY culture. Crank up the gain. Nail the kick drum to the floor. Bring earplugs.

Her Loving Aftertaste
Four independent musicians and friends all interwoven in the night culture of Amsterdam, attempting to create unique sounds utilising a power trio of drums, bass and guitar. Focus on dreamy vocals and lyrics that question life. Lengthy nostalgic and melancholy music connects the trio with heavily distorted dreampop and shoegaze elements. Woven into this are very calm and clean moments, that break the songs down into more structured pieces and throughout creations attempting to find a balance between gutwrenching noise and peaceful but tormenting harmony
