FCA Book Club - Making Death and Life in Palestine: Social Reproduction in Settler Colonialism
In this collection of essays leading feminists come together to talk about social reproduction theory in relation to Palestine.
If the daily renewal of human life is essential to function in this capitalist world of ours, what happens and what does it mean for a person living under it, when the ambition of a settler coloniser power is to eradicate life, and undermine social reproduction in as many ways as possible?
Here, by examining historical and specific manifestations of Israel’s attacks on social reproduction in Palestine, as well as Palestinian life affirming resistance to these, the theory of social reproduction is reshaped and refined, capitalism and its inherent violence is critiqued, and we encounter another base of understanding aimed towards solidarity.
🍉 Free Palestine 🍉
*The undisputable foundation of this discussion is the right of the Palestinian people to live in their homeland as free and equal citizens. It is not up for dispute that there is an ongoing genocide.

The beautiful Het Fort van Sjakoo in Amsterdam is able to order the book for you. It’s good to place an order with them sooner rather than later, as the wholesaler is out of stock (but expecting to be restocked soon). In Utrecht the awesome Savannah Bay has said they can order the book and you can do this online, and it should take 1 - 2 weeks for the book to arrive ( but again could be longer depending on the wholesaler) https://www.savannahbay.nl/
