Rapper and singer Samara Cyn wrote her first song as a therapeutic outlet, but music soon became her greatest passion and life’s purpose. With her debut EP ‘The Drive Home’ from 2024, she offered an intimate glimpse into her search for self-identity and took a significant step in her artistic development. Her combination of honest lyrics and compelling melodies earned her early support from artists such as Tyler, The Creator, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Doechii, Nas, Doja Cat, Rapsody, Alicia Keys, Isaiah Rashad and Teddy Swims.
With her latest EP ‘Detour’, released in March this year, Samara is now embarking on her first solo tour. On the seven-track project, she showcases her versatility and explores new directions within hip-hop and R&B, effortlessly blurring the boundaries between the two genres. With a high-profile performance at Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival under her belt, and a live reputation that is growing by the day, Samara is heralding a new chapter in a career that is developing at breakneck speed.
