Live music on the Creërende Heren boat

The smallest and most crooked boat of De Ceuvel, home of the Creërende Heren, will become the smallest and most crooked music stage in Amsterdam Noord for one afternoon and evening. Two bands, De Harde Liefde and GDVRDGDVR, will each play a couple of sets. Not entirely coincidentally, these are the bands of Ewoud and Hester, who usually write deep articles and books on this very boat but have also been playing in bands for years and simply felt like doing it here, at home.

Come by and hang out. They’re actually quite nice once you get to know them. And who knows, their friends might join in too.

About the bands

GDVRDGDVR
They call themselves a wild folk duo that traded acoustic guitars for a drum kit and a distorted bass to see what would happen. de Volkskrant calls it post-punk. Maybe it’s the same thing. With smoke machines and a hysterical light show. All on 20 square meters.

De Harde Liefde
They call it Dutch folk rock. Mien, who lives under the rehearsal room, calls it rubbish. 3voor12/NH said they once saw them at Woodstock, which is a stretch. They’re old, but not that old. No light show but a motor-impaired singer.

This evening is organized by Ceuvelaar Ewout Kieft and the De Ceuvel Association.
