ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Signe Dø

Signe Dø explores and pushes the boundaries between pop and art music, blending ethereal vocal melodies, atmospheric interludes, and noisy electronic elements such as processed clarinet and field recordings. With clear nods to Susanne Sundfør, Beth Gibbons, and FKA Twigs, she creates a dreamlike soundscape that feels both raw and majestic.

In 2024 she released her debut album Gi Meg Månen (Give Me the Moon) through Koke Plate (Jouska, Ea Othilde, Benedikt). The album was highly praised by media outlets (Dagsavisen, Subjekt, VG, Natt&Dag, Universitas, Analogue Trash) and was reviewed by GAFFA Norway as “the Norwegian album of the year”.

Following the album release, Signe Dø played at venues such as Kafé Hærverk (Oslo), Landmark (Bergen), Nordic Black Theatre (Oslo), Pride Park (Oslo), Samfundet (Trondheim), Langs Akerselva (Oslo), OT301 (Amsterdam), and Øyafestivalen, and was selected as one of 12 demo artists for by:Larm 2024.

Soundvenue (DK) highlighted her as one of "the five biggest talents" they saw at by:Larm, and Undertoner (DK) reviewed her performance as: “30 minutes of convincing sentimentality and seductive sensitivity, which will hopefully soon extend beyond Norway’s borders.”

“A melodic plunge into an art-pop universe that requires both courage and audacity to master.” - Dagsavisen

“If there’s one indietronica album you should bring home this week, it’s hers. It sounds gigantic. She sounds like three times as many as there are in KORK.” - Big Dipper

“(...) an artist who does not write to meet others’ expectations, but is creating from the heart, confident in her own artistic expression.” - NOPA jury statement

Anna Soleil

Anna Soleil’s music moves between childish and melancholic tones, where play, wonder and unrest live side by side. This summer she released her album Until It’s true, an album about fear and how it can make us rewrite our own story. About denial, waiting and living in-between. Her music is minimalist and playful. Flutes, accordion, and piano are woven together with midi sounds, synths and hip-hop inspired drums, a landscape where doubt and confidence meet.

Anna Soleil has played several concerts including Belleville (Cosmpolite Oslo), Krantz Festival, Asker Kulturhus, Slemmestad MEK, Torgata Bylarm, support for Tuvaband in Oslo, Copenhagen and Germany, etc.

Anna Soleil has received reviews from publications such as CLASH (UK), LOCK (UK) and GAFFA (Norway), and highlighted by NME Magazine in their playlist (UK).
