American-Ethiopian singer, songwriter and producer Kelela is known as a pioneering voice at the intersection of r&b and electronic music. Since her breakthrough with the mixtape ‘Cut 4 Me’ (2013), she has been pushing the boundaries of these genres with futuristic productions and intimate storytelling. On her third album ‘new avatar’, due out in July, she takes a new direction.
