Jump Cuts #1

Jump Cuts #1
Met: Hristo Goleminov + MUCHMOHristo Goleminov
Hristo Goleminov is an Amsterdam-based saxophonist, composer, and improviser, known for his work both as a leader and sideman in the Dutch and Portuguese scenes.
For this event he will debut his improvised no-input mixing board (NIMB) set.
Popularized by Japanese musician Toshimaru Nakamura, this is a setup which uses a mixer as an instrument, through internal feedback between its inputs and outputs.
The NIMB lends itself to an anarchistic relationship between performer and instrument - full control over each parameter is acknowledged as an illusion from the get-go.
