Jam with Humans – Music, Part Two

The project Music, Part Two brings to the stage dada-ish and clown-ish shows, over a bed of experimental music. It’s all centred around the (impossible and frankly quite silly) premise of creating brand new music – in fact, a brand new chapter of music (considering all music created so far to be “part one”).

With every ticket to the show you get a cassette tape with the album!

An album release

After two years on the road, Music, Part Two is now bringing its music... to tape! The co-conspirators of the Music, Part Two cast gave themselves a challenge: how to carry to an album the same principles of the show, but without the theatrical bits? They then spent months researching sounds, followed by more time processing them into a musical collage. The result is a cassette tape, side A containing a trippy and highly processed collage of the plundered sounds, and side B containing a collage of the raw material. This cassette is meant to be heard, scratched, recorded over... maybe even used in your own music. Do as your please, it’s your tape!

The story of Music, Part Two

Started in 2024 as a wish for the creation of an experimental electroacoustic project within Jam With Humans, the project took shape via multiple voice-message brainstorms between Daniel and Nic (whose experimental music theatre show La Bisse had just come to an end), in which ideas on how to involve the audience in the process of creation were discussed. Everything clicked together upon the suggestion of playing those same messages in the show, hooking the audience into a narrative, while the live experimentation of sounds develops on stage.

Brought to life by Jam With Humans, the music collective established in 2016 in Amsterdam, dedicated to teaching and performing disruptive and inclusive contemporary music.
