SUMMARY:Jam with Humans – Music\, Part Two
DTSTAMP:20260608T210929Z
DTSTART:20261003T180000Z
DESCRIPTION:–\n\nThe project Music\, Part Two brings to the stage dada-ish
and clown-ish shows\,\nover a bed of experimental music. It’s all centred
around the (impossible and\nfrankly quite silly) premise of creating brand
new music – in fact\, a brand new\nchapter of music (considering all musi
c created so far to be “part one”).\n\nWith every ticket to the show you g
et a cassette tape with the album!\n\nAn album release\n\nAfter two years
on the road\, Music\, Part Two is now bringing its music... to\ntape! The
co-conspirators of the Music\, Part Two cast gave themselves a\nchallenge:
how to carry to an album the same principles of the show\, but without\nt
he theatrical bits? They then spent months researching sounds\, followed b
y more\ntime processing them into a musical collage. The result is a casse
tte tape\, side\nA containing a trippy and highly processed collage of the
plundered sounds\, and\nside B containing a collage of the raw material.
This cassette is meant to be\nheard\, scratched\, recorded over... maybe e
ven used in your own music. Do as your\nplease\, it’s your tape!\n\nThe st
ory of Music\, Part Two\n\nStarted in 2024 as a wish for the creation of a
n experimental electroacoustic\nproject within Jam With Humans\, the proje
ct took shape via multiple\nvoice-message brainstorms between Daniel and N
ic (whose experimental music\ntheatre show La Bisse had just come to an en
d)\, in which ideas on how to involve\nthe audience in the process of crea
tion were discussed. Everything clicked\ntogether upon the suggestion of p
laying those same messages in the show\, hooking\nthe audience into a narr
ative\, while the live experimentation of sounds develops\non stage.\n\nBr
ought to life by Jam With Humans\, the music collective established in 201
6 in\nAmsterdam\, dedicated to teaching and performing disruptive and incl
	usive\ncontemporary music.
