Foyer for the Waiting
As the nights draw in and darkness quietly claims the space, composer and performer BAZR (Jan‐Bas Bollen) transforms the foyer of Plein Theater into a mesmerizing realm of light and sound. Crafted especially for this October weekend and ADE Festival, his interactive VJ installation envelops the room in shimmering sparkles and atmospheric vibes.
Immersed in luminous projections of fire, earthy streams, and celestial vapors, visitors are invited to remember those who have passed—holding them close against forgetting, until the moment comes to join their company. Here, every guest becomes an active participant, shaping the rhythm and density of this evolving audiovisual cosmos.
Foyer for the Waiting will be on view from 24 and 25 October 2025. Please give us a RSVP > for your visit on Friday October 24th. (Saturday = open walk-in)
This evocative installation runs as part of the side program to the multidisciplinary solo performance SODOM (Saturday, 25 October at 20:30), in which Arno Verbruggen reframes the biblical tale of Sodom and Gomorrah through an inclusive, contemporary lens—blending dance, theatre, fashion, and visual design to challenge queer stigmas and reimagine sacred iconography through three transformative acts: Distress, Emancipation, and Sacrament.
