Presented in the historic Sluisdeurenloods at Mediamatic, Livia Rita and the Avantgardeners create a sonic ritual of earthy electronics and sirenesque vocals that bend the contours of pop into an immersive, more-than-human landscape.

Dystopia Wetlands invites you into Livia Rita and the Avantgardeners Collective’s multisensory world, blending sound, movement, and immersive visuals. As a response to our current troubled times, the performance offers a speculative landscape between dystopia and utopia, where more-than-human creatures move through space in states of metamorphosis - a powerful metaphor for adaptation and fluid identity.
As a community organiser, Livia's work embraces collaboration amongst artists from various disciplines and natural habitats. For Dystopia Wetlands activates a fluid network of dance performers across The Netherlands and beyond for an evening of feminist and post-gender choreography. Dystopia Wetlands embraces non-human movement, dissolving the boundaries of the body through brave, collective rituals of expression.

Livia RitaLivia Rita an alpine witch and soft nature creature, drifting between the Alps and London. Their work blurs fantasy and reality, summoning worlds where magic pulses and nature revolts. At once an invitation to intimacy and a call for transformation, she conjures a sensual soft storm towards possible futures.
As a community organiser, Livia Rita planted the seeds of the artist community Avantgardeners, a growing constellation of creatives from realms such as music, fashion, design, dance, performance, and visual art. The collective blurs disciplines, cultivating radical connections and shared experimentation. Through workshops and gatherings, they forge new ways of being together, planting seeds for alternative futures.
