Decolonized Pride

Doors open: 18:00
Film Screening: 19:00 (runtime 85 minutes)
Musical Performance by Rvilla: 20:30
In honor of Pride month, join us for an evening showcasing queer and diverse indigenous voices.
The documentary we will screen is about a two-spirit teenager from the Narragansett Tribe in Rhode Island. Follow their journey as a fancy shawl dancer, youth leader, and activist as they challenge the colonial gender norms that have become dominant in their community, despite indigenous cultures traditionally recognizing more than two genders in a variety of ways.
Following the film, we will have a powerful musical performance by Rvilla, a Black-Indigenous-French hip-hop artist who's revolutionary songs should ignite a flame of action in everyone's souls to resist against our oppressors and fight for our collective liberation.
