ArtiShock: visual storytelling

ArtiShock: visual storytelling
VOX-POP presents ArtiShock. Every month, VOX-POP transforms the space into a workshop for chaos and creativity. From DJ classes to linocut workshops, each time you practice with a different art form. This time, we delve into visual storytelling with Anais Lopez, who has evolved from a pure photographer to a storyteller, using still and moving images as well as sound and text to tell her stories.

In academia, we’re used to telling stories with words. This workshop invites you to let go of language and explore the power of visual storytelling.

In this dynamic workshop, visual artist and storyteller Anaïs López will take you on a journey through the art of storytelling, using some of her recent projects as a guide. From the streets of Amsterdam to the temples of Japan, she’ll lead you through the creative process and share the essential ingredients needed to craft a compelling narrative.
As you travel through her work, you’ll learn to see the world with fresh eyes and discover new ways to tell your own story.
Participants will have the opportunity to briefly present their project (max. 3-minute pitch). Using a storytelling model, the group will then spend 15 minutes helping to further develop each project.
Please note: if you'd like to pitch your project, come prepared with a short 3-minute presentation.

The workshop is free and takes place at VOX-POP from 18:00 to 20:00. Registration is required.
