Bayou
The Egyptian singer, songwriter and producer Bayou effortlessly blends modern R&B and Egyptian pop. Having grown up in Dubai, Barcelona and Boston in the early 2000s, he quickly developed a wide-ranging musical taste, ranging from Mohamed Mounir to Craig David, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd and PARTYNEXTDOOR. Bayou’s mission is clear: to push the musical and cultural boundaries of Arabic music and create new space for Arabic pop on the world stage.
With tracks such as ‘Call Her Right Now’ and ‘Egyptian Wifey’, Bayou demonstrates just how effortlessly he moves between genres and languages. In 2024, he released his first solo EP, ‘Never At Home’, featuring tracks including ‘Haifa Wehbe’, ‘Neshar Belel’ and ‘Mesh Haseebek’, a collaboration with Zeyne. New work is on the way: Bayou is working towards the release of his debut album 'BRINCE'.
