Amsterdam Dub Event is back for a deep dose of dub during ADE, with this time dub legends Scientist, Manasseh and Dubcreator. Completing the line-up will be Amsterdam's own Earth Works Amsterdam featuring Rapha Pico and Miriam Simone, Sun Collective, Rub-a-Dub Ramses feat. Lyrical Benjie, Dub Equalizer, Vette Mette, plus of course your host Paulisme - and it all can be heard on KrackFree Soundsystem again!
We are proud to present the living legend Scientist. The protege of King Tubby is coming to Amsterdam Dub Event for an exclusive performance! The name 'Scientist' itself originated from comments made by Bunny Lee, regarding his technical abilities. It was while at Tubby’s that the Scientist developed his idiosyncratic dub style, playful and very psychedelic, loaded with echo explosions and blasts of feedback. King Tubby, Prince Jammy, Mad Professor, Khruangbin, they and many others have worked with this legend, and we can not wait for him to take us on a dub journey!
Nick Manasseh first appeared in the world of dub in 1985 at the Notting Hill Carnival in London, performing with the 'Manasseh Sound System', which subsequently led him to collaborate with the likes of Jah Shaka, Coxsone, Jah Tubbys, Fatman, Soul 2 Soul, and Aba Shanti. He produced 'Seventh Seal' in 1988, which is widely credited as the first 'UK Steppers' record. Excited to have him returning to Amsterdam, UK steppers time!
Dubcreator - or in short 'DC' - is around in the roots reggae scene since 1988 and has been developing the studio and skills since then. His productions have been played on all the big sound systems around the world. He made tunes with Earl 16, Donovan Kingjay, Lyrical Benjie and so many other great artists.

Earth Works Amsterdam is the center of the Amsterdam Dub scene. A creative hub and record store. With their live show they’re getting the studio onto the stage. For ADE 2025 they bring Amsterdam’s finest singers Rapha Pico and Miriam Simone with them. They’ve played successfully on the mighty King Shiloh’s Sound System and we're stoked to have them join this event!
Amsterdam's internationally renowned reggae veterans Rub-a-Dub Ramses and Lyrical Benjie are back!. Both have been performing across Europe and beyond for over 30 years, and they've also been doing shows together for a while. With Ramses on the decks spinning dubs and riddims and Lyrical Benjie on the mic, these guys will immediately get the party started and sweep you off your feet in the vibes of this fantastic event!
Dub//Reggae//Dubstep//Ambient//Stepper /Jungle are the styles of music the Amsterdam based producers Sun Collective produce. They've been doing this for 10 years, time for a celebration. Our local heroes!
Vette Mette is a household name in the Dutch dub, reggae & bass scene. He conjures up one gem after another from his record bag, filled to the brim with vinyl. As part of the Bassculture Soundsystem he was responsible for the first Amsterdam Dub Events. Paulisme will join him on the mic, as they did for so many years as Cut it Dub.
Dub Equalizer is the 14 year old Feniks, he is a producer, selector and dj. Amsterdam Dub Event thinks that the youth is the future, that’s why we give him a spot on this event. You’ll be surpised about his collection!
Your host for this evening is Paulisme. Together with Ramses and Melkweg he’s the driving force behind Amsterdam Dub Event. Ramses & Paul are so proud of having Scientist on ADE 2025, a dream coming true!
The sounds will be powered by KrackFree Soundsystem, a point source, horn loaded sound system built with a meticulous selection of high-end components and self-built speaker cabinets. Every element is carefully crafted and tuned for maximum impact, depth, precision and clarity. And Krackfree is more than just speakers and amplifiers; it’s a community-driven project that aims to bring people together through music!
