Up tempo banjo’s, dark guitar riffs and rowdy basslines, sinister violin & hallucinating madoline. Combine the .357 String Band with Jimmy Driftwood and drop them in a blender with cityfied cowboy tales and 21 shots of yer favourite booze and you’ll get that Penny Pinching brew that’ll melt the nugget in your head and ruin your liver

music sounds like cheap whiskey: sharp, gritty, yet incredibly intoxicating. This four-piece band from Utrecht has set itself a mission: to breed a unique musical species—drawing from Delta blues, Appalachian mountain music, and traditional sounds from across the globe. It’s folk with a rock ‘n’ roll rhythm, hard-driving blues, a primitive bass, and the raw honesty of punk. Traditional music is rendered raw and anew through Jesco’s rousing beat—fueled by an urgent need to pour a few more drinks and empty a few more glasses!
