AFRO ANATOLIAN TALES

Presents “Tarab Dance”

“Timeless grooves, melodies and modern sounds, crossing borders with music from the Silk Roads.”

Afro Anatolian Tales is an innovative musical project led by renowned percussionist Sjahin During, alongside guitarist Bram Stadhouders and cellist Bence Huszar. This dynamic ensemble seamlessly blends ancient ethnic traditions with modern Western music, drawing deeply from the rhythms and melodies of Anatolia, Iran, India, and the legendary Silk Road.

Featuring the exceptionally talented Turkish musician Burak Savaş, whose soulful voice and violin merge seamlessly with Bram’s enchanting rubab and electronics, Bence’s cello’tronics, and Sjahin’s Afro Anatolian percussion.

As the core trio of Afro Anatolian Tales, they craft “a musical bridge of sounds between the Orient and Occident,”exploring diverse formations and soundscapes. Their music transcends traditional genre boundaries, weaving Eastern and Western influences into a vibrant, ever-evolving, and cinematic tapestry.

In their concerts, Afro Anatolian Tales guides the audience through a rich, cinematic tapestry of cultural and historical layers. Traditional instruments blend with modern sounds and improvisations, creating a multidimensional listening experience that bridges the past and present.

“Tarab Dance” will be the third production of Afro Anatolian Tales, accompanied by an album release tour set to launch in 2025.
