Howilhkat Freda Huson
Wing chief of the Unist’ot’en people, leader of the healing center on Wet’suwet’en yintah, and internationally recognized advocate for Indigenous rights.

Sleydo’ Molly Wickham
Wing chief of the Cas Yikh people, spokesperson of the Gidimt’en Checkpoint, and central figure in the Wet’suwet’en resistance.

Speakers:
Allison Renville (Dakota, Oceti Sakowin)
is a longtime community advocate, grassroots political organizer, and outspoken voice for equity, rural revitalization, and indigenous sovereignty, who is currently running for Governor of South Dakota, USA.
Through years of dedication she has become a leading voice in regional & national discussions surrounding civil rights, social justice, and sustainable economic development through political engagement.

Francois Kamate (Democratic Republic of Congo)
is a climate & human rights activist in North Kivu province in the eastern part of the DRC.
He co-founded the youth movement Congo Bassin Alliance and is leading Extinction Rebellion Rutshuru DRC, which works to support communities affected by conflict and oppose destructive oil and mining projects, particularly in and around Virunga National Park.
Francois works to break the silence on the Congo.

Sarah Pardede (Pardede clan, Toba Batak)
is a water protector & land defender from Sumatra, who offers legal support for indigenous farmers and refugees, is a poet, artist, musician, researcher, and current RMIDS student at UvA.

Wasswa Brian (Munyarwanda)
is a prominent climate activist and legal scholar who has been arrested and detained several times for fighting against fossil fuels and for the rights of the indigenous communities in Uganda.
