Workshop: Archiving Personal Queer Stories #2

The collective culture of a community is built from individual personal experiences: everyday objects, meaningful places, memories of people and personal narratives. However, queer lives are often overlooked or misrepresented in institutional archives. This workshop emphasises the importance of self-preservation of queer histories, not to conform to normative systems, but to cultivate shared knowledge and foster connections within the queer community.
This workshop is part of the initiative to open up THE TAIL as a space for queer and trans communities to connect, create and share. Framer Framed welcomes proposals from collectives, artists and organisers who wish to host public or community-based events in the installation.
This event is in English. Admission is free.
