VOKU: We Sing to Live - The Struggle of Eleonas in Athens

VoKu for financial support to pay the legal expenses of the comrades charged for the Eleonas Struggle in Greece. During the event there will be a short presentation about the Eleonas struggle and why is relevant for the broader antiracist and antifascist movement in Greece. On April 20, 2026, the first instance of the Eleonas trial concluded in Athens. Of the six accused, two were acquitted, and four given sentences from 9 to 16 months, plus court expenses. The arrests followed brutal police violence against the residents of the asylum seeker camp in Athens, who were organising against the eviction of the camp and the violent migration policy.
