Voku fundraiser for Zaki Mohammed 🇵🇸
On Thursday September 24th, QUT will host a donation based dinner at Joe's Garage. Vegan food and drinks will be served 19:00. The donations will go directly to our friend Zaki Mohammed's to cover his nursing school tuition fee and help bring much needed food and medicine to his family in Nuseirat Camp. Zaki is a Palestinian volunteer aid worker from Beit Lahia. Since the war on Gaza began, he has witnessed and endured suffering in ways nobody should. The indiscriminate killing of his people and family members, as well as the ongoing forced starvation led Zaki to create QUT, a Palestinian Aid Initiative.
Qut قوت directly translating to food, sustenance or nourishment is a project between Zaki Mohammed and a small organizational team based in Amsterdam. QUT has arranged fundraising events in the form of dinners, presentations and performances with the proceeds going to initiatives that benefit Palestinian people living in occupied Gaza. QUT is a is a way to let Zaki give back to his family and local community.
Through donations to his gofundme Zaki has been able to facilitate:
💧Construction of a well for clean drinking water,
🫒 Distribution of food parcels. Medicine and other necessities.
❤️🩹 Medical examinations, check-ups, doctor visits and emergency medical services.
We hope you will join us in raising money for Zaki to continue his pursuit of a medical degree at an online University based in Cairo. We see this as a clear progression of his past aid work and are excited to witness his personal development into a more steadfast future! 🌊🔻
