VOID [Meeting the Unwelcome Guest]
VOID is a peer led weekly lab exploring how inner life, collective dynamics, and political action entangle.
This is a space for people who sense that the crises we face are not only external, and not only personal. We work with the nervous system, shadow, power, desire, and collapse as lived experiences that shape how we organize, relate, and act.
Practices may include embodied inquiry, shared meditation, parts work, group mapping, relational experiments, and collective reflection. Sessions are co created. Facilitation moves and circulates. Authority is questioned without dissolving responsibility.
This is not therapy. It is not spiritual bypass. It is not a purity project.
This week, we look at how in activist communities some qualities are welcomed and others quietly pushed aside. Neediness, jealousy, the wish to disappear, a hunger for power, these often remain unnamed, yet they shape the field. This session offers a grounded approach to shadow work at both personal and collective levels. We move from body-based opening into a simple parts process, then widen the lens: what does a group as a whole disown, and who ends up carrying it? The intention is not catharsis but contact, making difficult material workable.
VOID is queer affirming, anti authoritarian, and critically aware of colonial and systemic histories. We welcome multiplicity, contradiction, and non dual perspectives that do not flatten difference.
If this calls to you, or if you carry questions, feel free to send a message to een_metamonnik.555 on signal.
The session will be upstairs in "Stonewall Studio", please plan to be in time since we'll close door at 11.11 to avoid disturbances.
NieuwLand is independent of subsidy and volunteer run so reliant on donations for keeping the events free and open to everybody, please contribute something if you are able (cash or pin is possible).
