After playing together in various contexts, Fabien Vuattoux, Nico Chientaroli, Pedro Ivo Ferreira and Eloi Pascual-Nogué decided to combine their musical aspirations around the fall of 2023, under the name « Good Golden Frogs ». Despite gloomy weather and a great imbroglio of rehearsal schedules, diluted in endless Whatsapp conversations, they finally came together to create what could be a Panamanian celebration, an ode to all endangered (jazz) species around the world. I: Sad Songs (and Future Past Chants) emerges as a bouncing corpus, mixed with a gargantuan palette of influences and a touch of je-ne-sais-quoi that will definitely make the crowd fond of.
