Trans* Decompression Space of Mutual Care & Support for protesters

on the 24/5, Dyke March Amsterdam is hosting a trans* decompression space of mutual care & support at NieuwLand (Pieter Nieuwlandstraat 93, Amsterdam) after the ‘de straat op’ protest against fascism and the far right (Dyke March Amsterdam will be joining! join our signal chat to stay updated on where our block will be)

we have decided to organise this as several of our members feel a need for such a space - where we can remember and honour the members of our trans community who have been impacted by transphobic violence, a space for sharing concerns around the current state of trans rights and healthcare in the Netherlands and worldwide, and overall a space to be together and connect within our community.

come as you are! hopeful, worried, determinate, sad, or however you feel. you can bring along whatever you want or nothing at all - a game to play together, your journal, pencils and sketchbook… 🩵💓🩵 see you there!

the room where we are meeting at NieuwLand is wheelchair accessible but unfortunately the toilets are not, due to structural limitations of the space. there are around 4 steps up to the level where the toilets are. please feel free to text us and let us know through the form if there is anything else we can do to make this event (more) accessible to you.
