Tim Loud
Tim Loud is a well-travelled musician who has built a reputation for himself through his engaging live performances, thought-provoking lyrics and emotionally engaging songwriting.
Tim returns after a short break from playing live, which followed an intense few years of touring. Towards the tail end of the 2010s, he played upwards of 200 gigs a year, including several high-profile support slots and festival appearances, both nationally and internationally building a cult fan base.
Tim's songwriting is always honest and heartfelt, portraying kitchen sink drama, gallows humour, and existential philosophy in equal measure. He is never tied down to one specific genre although his music leans towards folk, roots and Americana, but always with a modern style and distinctive sardonic twist.
Ray Waters
Hailing from St Albans, UK, Ray Waters was raised on the unusual combination of traditional Irish folk music and West Indian reggae and dub, although he was in his teens when he first picked up the guitar after discovering punk rock through bands such as the Dead Kennedys and The Clash.
By his early 20’s Waters had become enamoured with the world of 50’s Rock’n’Roll- and formed The Zipheads, a band that over the following years would tour all over the UK, Europe, and the USA playing a unique mix of ska, swing, surf, reggae, punk and rockabilly. To date, The Zipheads have released 3 albums, an instrumental surf-rock EP and a handful of singles, working with labels such as Bomber Music and Western Star as well as self-releasing material.
An accomplished guitarist, Waters received official endorsement from Gretsch Guitars in 2018. Around the same time Waters joined the Bar Stool Preachers as a touring guitarist- playing numerous tours of the USA, Europe and the UK with the 6-piece ska-punk powerhouse.
Alongside his band work, Waters has been playing solo acoustic shows for the best part of 20 years, straddling the genres of country, folk, rock’n’roll and reggae- sometimes bizarre, often humorous but always honest, his songs favour substance over style and always leave the audience entertained.
