Third World

Third World
Legendary icons of reggae-fusion

With over fifty years under their belt, Third World remains one of the most iconic and consistent reggae acts in the world. Founded in Kingston in 1973, the band achieved their international breakthrough as the opening act for Bob Marley & the Wailers and evolved into the pioneers of 'reggae-fusion.' By seamlessly weaving roots reggae with R&B, funk, and pop, they scored global hits such as '96° in the Shade' and the dancefloor classic 'Now That We’ve Found Love.'

A vital part of their legendary status is co-founder and guitarist Stephen 'Cat' Coore, named by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. With nine Grammy nominations and the prestigious Jamaican Music Icon Award to their name, the band brings a powerhouse lineup to Paradiso in 2026. This special performance is dedicated entirely as a tribute to the musical legacy of 'Cat' Coore. Led by bassist Richard Daley and the commanding vocals of AJ Brown, the band celebrates the rich history of one of Jamaica’s greatest gifts to the world.
