The Vanguard Revue
A club night dedicated to paying respects to the artists, activists and nightlife pioneers that paved the way for queer dancefloor culture to exist today.
This tribute transforms RAUM into a living archive of queer nightlife history, through sound, performance, community and this time a rare collaboration with Foundation Erwin Olaf, as we pay tribute to the late photographer's works through performance and presentation inside the club.
Throughout Pride month, the revolutionary work of legendary Dutch photographer Erwin Olaf will be intimately exhibited across the club. Capturing the radical spirit, intimacy, rebellion, and freedom that defined queer nightlife from the 1980s onward, these works are carefully woven directly into the venue's architecture.
In a direct, historical dialogue between past and present queer spaces, the iconic 'Body Parts' series installed in RAUM’s bathrooms features the exact same photographs that once graced the walls of Amsterdam's legendary Club RoXY.
Alongside the physical exhibition, expect a club program and performances designed to immerse in a celebration of joy, resistance, and creative freedom.
