Following its raw and powerful premiere in November 2025 in Turku FIN, The RIF comes to Amsterdam. This international collaboration between artists based in Finland and The Netherlands is an exploration of delicate, often volatile boundaries between Restriction, Isolation, and Freedom.
Described by Turun Sanomat as a "bodily rebellion," the piece was born from a desire for radical honesty and rapid creation. It is a work where the world is seen as shaking, and the performers navigate the tension between control and surrender.
The Performance
On April 18th, experience an intimate yet loud rebellion of dance, movement, sound and light. The bodies on stage become both "cage and key," adapting and remembering as they reroute when paths are blocked. It is a journey into the unknown that seeks to unite performers and audience alike in a shared "RIF".
