On April 16 Claire Edwardes opens the Minimal Music Festival with the world premiere of Percussion Concerto 'Storm Oratory' by Kate Moore in the Muziekgebouw !

Dual Attractor is a bold and genre-defying exploration of solo works for percussion by female composers from around the world, performed by Australian percussionist Claire Edwardes.

Claire Edwardes OAM is a force of nature in new music. Known as the “sorceress of percussion,” she has built a trailblazing career through her extensive commissioning of new works, her advocacy for female composers and gender equity in classical music, and her performances for audiences worldwide.
Drawing on ideas from chaos theory, Dual Attractor explores two gravitational centres pulling in different directions. For Edwardes, these opposing forces emerge in the relationship between performer and instrument, the distinct voices of marimba and vibraphone, and the tension between a rich creative past and the unknown territory ahead.

This album launch illuminates these dualities through bold new works. Experience the shimmering textures of Missy Mazzoli’s Orizzonte, the quiet, hymn-like glow of Caroline Shaw’s In Manus Tuas, and Anna Meredith’s genre-defying Bumps per Minute - a techno-inspired dreamscape capturing the creative exchange that has guided Claire’s work over three decades.
