ELEVEN YEARS OF DE CEUVEL!
Come visit our ecological hub during the day, where there’s plenty to see, do, and experience. Get inspired by sustainability, music, activities on the boats, or dive into our history and join the brainstorm about the future of the Ceuvel. There’s a fun program for kids, and you can even take a swim from our docks.
As evening falls, the music program kicks off: come dance to live music or spicy beats, spread across the Veranda, the Secret Garden Stage, and our Café. There’s something to discover everywhere!

A performance for the little ones, but fun for everyone. Yvonne presents a story about animals and celebration! The fox is having a birthday and wants to invite everyone—except the witch... How will it end?

Celebrate with us, accompanied by music from Superjam. We’ll parade along the experience path to reveal a new part of the outdoor exhibition. Filmmaker Femke van Velzen and photographer Hermen van de Waal captured portraits of former shipyard workers, bringing De Ceuvel’s history to life. You’ll be the first to see them! Film portraits are viewable on the Macula boat until 15:00.

Ceuvelaar and caricature artist Randy Haas will be roaming with his easel, sketching fun caricatures of partygoers on beer coasters! Want a quirky keepsake from the day? Get your face drawn in a fun way. A party of recognition.

In this workshop, you’ll get an explanation of the silversmithing craft, how we work, and the different disciplines, including a demonstration in the Ceuvel’s jewelry workshop.
Water Safari by the Water CaravanStarts at: 13:30, 14:15, 15:00 & 15:45 (±15 minutes)
Location: Boat dock – Sign up on the list to reserve a spot
Hop in a canoe and explore the floating gardens of the Water Caravan with ecological architect Amber Beernink. Glide across the water, peek into the fish tower, and learn how these gardens contribute to cleaner water and more urban biodiversity.
You need at least a swimming diploma A for this activity; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Location: Terrace next to the Ceuvel Café
The Superjam is a high-energy interactive concert where everyone joins in: kids and adults alike. The musicians of De Superjam take you on a rhythmic, instrument-filled musical journey with a touch of humor.
Make noise with beats on cement tubs, funky kazoo melodies, and harmonized singing in this swinging musical experience.
Each concert is fully improvised and led from the moment. This playful, open approach makes De Superjam so special. Every jam is different... and always a party!
Crafting with Ceuvelaars: Leather Scrap Workshop13:00 – 14:30 / walk-in
Location: In the Maakbar (right side of the main square)
Create something beautiful from leftover leather! Under guidance from Anke Wijnja (The Nature Connection), explore the craft of leatherwork. Make a keychain, bracelet, or pouch using different techniques.
For all ages (children under 10 with supervision). First piece is free!

Learn to make oil paint yourself from unique oil (pressed on the Ceuvel by Lars) and pigment. Then use your own paint to unleash your creativity on canvas.

With the Circus Caravan, everyone becomes a performer! Discover which circus skills you enjoy — nothing is required, everything is allowed. Enthusiastic teacher Nick creates a vibrant space full of fun and movement.

Nudge for Democracy – INFO SESSIONStart: 14:00 to 14:45 / Group start, late entry not possible.

That the foundations of our democracy are being eroded is clear. But how exactly? And when will the chair topple? Less so. In this two-part series we explore the danger zone our democracy is in and what we can do to turn the tide. Ceuvel as a hub of awareness: this first session provides a (visual) framework for this big issue that connects us all. Let’s keep the chair standing — together.
Nudge for Democracy – ACTION SESSIONStart: 15:00 to 15:45 / Group start, late entry not possible.
Location: on the Brettt Boat
Continuing from the first session, this second part focuses on action. What can we do — practically and collectively — to support our democracy? You’ll get hands-on with what’s possible and how your efforts fit into the bigger picture. Together, we keep the chair upright.

Seed Bomb Workshop3:30 PM – 4:30 PM / walk-in
Location: at the Pollinator Boat
Sow the future! Learn all about seed bombs in this hands-on workshop. Make your own mix of native flower seeds, clay, and compost and toss them wherever you want nature to bloom again. This activity is a fun way to support bees and other pollinators, and you’ll go home with your own seed bombs!
