Soft Palms is the immersive dream pop project of Julia Kugel and Scott Montoya, a Long Beach duo who create expansive, hypnotic soundscapes from their own studio, Centre of Mental Arts (COMA). By combining lo-fi warmth with refined textures, Soft Palms feels like a lucid dream captured on analog tape: equally meditative and cinematic. The duo, consisting of two seasoned creatives who have been collaborating for years, records, produces, and mixes everything themselves, far beyond the confines of traditional studio systems. In 2026, Soft Palms returns with their most extensive work to date: ‘IN ECHO’ (Everloving Records).
