A Seat at the Table: Join In and Don’t Lose Heart!
Food connects us. Sharing a meal is such an everyday act — and yet, so essential — that Warming Up Festival and Bureau Vergezicht have joined forces to create a welcoming, communal dinner moment for festival visitors. This dinner is a potluck: bring a dish you love to eat and share it with others, along with your hopes for the world we live in today. Writer and theatre maker Anoek Nuyens will guide the conversation, reflecting with you on courage, resilience, and trust in humanity.
Philosopher Hannah Arendt once asked, “Why is it so difficult to love the world?” For her, love of the world was not a sentimental feeling, but a call to care — to take responsibility for what exists, even in the face of injustice and violence.
That question feels more urgent than ever today. In a world filled with crises and uncertainty — how do we stay engaged without losing heart?
Theatre maker Anoek Nuyens (Bureau Vergezicht) invites you to join the potluck dinner at Warming Up Festival. Bring a vegetarian dish to share and join a conversation about how we can keep trust, imagination, and courage alive — together.
