Schmutz Cinema: Futures of Desire

SCHMUTZ CINEMA: FUTURES OF DESIRE

Schmutz Cinema invites you to a programme where erotic imagination meets cinematic invention – playful, queer and joyfully open-minded.

This edition looks toward the future of intimacy. As robots become companions, AI learns our desires, and humanity dreams of life beyond Earth, what happens to sex, intimacy, and fantasy? This programme explores intergalactic desires, robotic passions and algorithmic musings.
Expect seven short films by daring filmmakers from around the world, that stretch the idea of what erotic cinema can be, and a live performance by Tatenda Chimhada and an introduction by Maaike van der Hoorst.
