Queer prom is coming to Mezrab!

Did you have an end of school dinner dance sometimes called the prom sometimes called the debs. It’s a right of passage. It’s a moment to celebrate with your friends, the end of a long period of education and the beginning of very early adult life. Often at these fragile moments in life, we are in institutions and educational systems that promote binary traditional heteronormative communities above all others, sometimes not making room to be inclusive for the Ls the Gs, the Bs the Ts and the Qs that live among us.WELL, it’s time to set the record straight and Mezrab is going to do that this July at queer prom brought to you by Joseph Kearney.

It will be an evening of drinks, nibbles. There’ll be tiaras. There’ll be a DJ so you get to dance. They’ll be a photo opportunity. We might provide costumes and we’ll definitely have tons and tons of awards for many of the best dressed that evening and many monarchs of the night so dress up to impress come and enjoy your queer prom your way bring whoever you like come alone, as a group of friends come on a date come to enjoy.
