Verbotene Lieben 3000
Verbotene Lieben 3000 is een bizarre komedie die de absurditeit van de dingen vanuit een queer-feministisch perspectief belicht. Het rockster-figurentheaterduo Duckie L’Orange & Die Puppenspielerin gebruikt maskers, poppenspel, objecttheater en mime om hun publiek te verrassen en te vermaken. Ze brengen allerlei twijfelachtige personages tot leven: een gestoorde yogi, een solo polyamoureuze Rapunzel, uitgeklede burlesque en... een herinterpretatie van Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Het duo heeft de wereld rondgereisd, van Australië en Duitsland tot Europa, de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten, India, Oost-Timor, Indonesië en de VS. Hoogtepunten waren optredens in het Sydney Opera House, het Koninklijk Deens Theater, het Staatstheater Wiesbaden, het Schauspiel Leipzig, het Metropol Theater Bremen, het Fusion Festival en op de nationale televisie in zowel Australië als Duitsland.

Duckie L’Orange
Duckie L’Orange is een Australische cabaretartieste met een eigenzinnige stijl. Ze heeft al heel wat vreemde dingen gedaan: ze voerde nepoperaties uit in het Sydney Opera House, riep "roll up, roll up!" op een steampunk-carnaval met het Catalaanse gezelschap Antigua i Barbuda, toerde door Duitsland met Puppetry Slam Deutschland, zorgde voor babydinosaurussen in Jurassic World en maakte gigantische poppenshows met kinderen in Kalimantan en Oost-Timor.
Die Puppenspielerin
Eva Vinke, ook bekend als Die Puppenspielerin, is geboren in Bielefeld, Duitsland. Na haar studie theaterwetenschappen en Duitse literatuur in Leipzig, begon ze aan een studie hedendaags poppentheater aan de Ernst Busch Academie voor Dramatische Kunsten in Berlijn.
Haar toneelstuk ‘Von Mädchen und Strümpfen’ werd uitgenodigd op verschillende theaterfestivals en werd bekroond met de Freisprung Theaternachwuchspreis 2019. Hierna bracht ze enkele jaren door bij de poppentheaterensembles van het Deutsch-Sorbisches Volkstheater Bautzen en Theater Altenburg-Gera. Sinds 2024 werkt ze nu als freelance poppenspeler in Leipzig, met recente optredens bij Staatstheater Wiesbaden & Schauspiel Leipzig.
Queering Puppets Festival Amsterdam
Het internationale Queering Puppets Festival Amsterdam biedt van 1 t/m 6 april opnieuw een podium aan beeldend theater, poppenspel en performances die de norm bevragen. Het thema van de 5e jubileumeditie is ‘The Nature of Things’ en geeft een radicaal antwoord op het westerse en koloniale framing. Beeldend theatermakers en performers vanuit de hele wereld komen bij elkaar tijdens dit festival.
Queering Puppets Festival Amsterdam is queer, feministisch, activistisch en schittert bovenal in eigenwijsheid. Het is het enige festival in Nederland dat poppen- en objecttheater voor volwassenen koppelt aan queer verbeelding . In de safe space die het poppenspel creëert, kan iedereen zijn wie hen, zij, hij, wil en elkaar kan ontmoeten. Verwacht een uitdagende mix van lichamen, verhalen die weigeren in zich aan te passen in bestaande dominante structuren, visuele & erotische uitspattingen, edgy performances, prikkelende lezingen, queery eten en clubby afters.

The team have toured the world across Australia and Germany, around Europe, the UAE, India, Timor Leste, Indonesia and the US. Highlight appearances include performing at Sydney Opera House, the Royal Danish Theatre, Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Schauspiel Leipzig, Metropol Theater Bremen, Fusion Festival and on National television in both Australia and Germany.

Duckie L’Orange
Duckie L’Orange is an Australian cabaret artist with a twist. She’s done a lot of strange stuff, performing pretend surgery at the Sydney Opera House, yelling “roll up, roll up!” at a steam punk carnival with Catalonian company Antigua i Barbuda, touring Germany with the Puppetry Slam Deutschland, caring for baby dinosaurs at Jurassic World & creating giant puppetry shows with children in Kalimantan and Timor Leste.

Die Puppenspielerin
Eva Vinke, also known as Die Puppenspielerin, was born in Bielefeld, Germany. After studying theater studies and German literature in Leipzig, she began studying contemporary puppetry at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin.
Her play of “Von Mädchen und Strümpfen” was invited to several theater festivals and was awarded the Freisprung Theaternachwuchspreis 2019. Following this she spent several years at the puppet theater ensembles at the Deutsch-Sorbisches Volkstheater Bautzen and the Theater Altenburg-Gera. She has now been working as a freelance puppeteer in Leipzig since 2024, with recent appearances at Staatstheater Wiesbaden & Schauspiel Leipzig.
Queering Puppets Festival Amsterdam
From April 1st to 6th, the international Queering Puppets Festival Amsterdam once again offers a platform for visual theater, puppetry, and performances that defy the norm. The theme of the 5th anniversary edition is "The Nature of Things" and offers a radical response to Western and colonial framing. Visual theater makers and performers from around the world will come together during this festival.
Queering Puppets Festival Amsterdam is queer, feminist, activist and above all stands out in quirkiness. It is the only festival in the Netherlands that links puppetry and object theatre for adults to queer imagination. In the safe space created by puppetry, everyone can be who they, she, he, wants and can meet each other. Expect a challenging mix of bodies, stories that refuse to adapt to existing dominant structures, visual & erotic outbursts, edgy performances, stimulating lectures, queery food and clubby afters.
