Packet Radio Experiment with Reticulum
The goal of the workshop is to link a small village in Belgium with the TBD location using shortware transceiver and a 15 meter long antenna. Participants learn how to operate amateur radio equipment and use the Reticulum Network Stack (RNS) for long distance communication. This is an experiment we set up together.
Long distance radio links are key for integrating local mesh networks into a global communication network independent of the Internet. We take advantage of the carrier agnostic and auto-configuring routing properties of the Reticulum Network Stack (RNS). If the experiment works out, then we can use this technique to link together existing deployments in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Hague and Utrecht.
