OR SEBASTIAN releases their first EP with Gay Porn Suite. A modern “suite” about male porn, as part of a search for identity and to what extent sex is part of that. Sometimes funny, often deadly serious. Expect beautiful, harmonious singing with unexpectedly poetic lyrics.
We are four multidisciplinary singers/performers. Our strength lies in the diverse background: Dominic and Arnout are classically trained singers; Timo has a training as a maker/performer and as a musical singer and Felix is a singing mimer/actor who sounds more pop in terms of singing voice. This makes the sound ofour singing and of our compositions unique.
We sang together for the first time in the “dance opera” 8:Metamorphosis by Nicole Beutler Projects (VSCD Mime Prize, the international ‘Music Theatre Now Award’ and a VSCD Zwaan nomination). For our first EP, we want to use our queer identity as part of our sound, because that's where our authenticity lies. We write most of the music ourselves; we also play any instruments ourselves.
