The exhibition explores the potent intersection of body, identity, and transformation through the lens of contemporary art jewellery. Here, adornment becomes more than mere decoration—it is a performative act, a ritual, and a tool for self-construction and expression. The show invites viewers to witness and reflect on the transformative potential of jewellery when worn not just as ornament, but as narrative, shield and provocation to illuminate yourself with your inner glow of potential and possibilities that come from being human. Both jewellery makers and stage artists, we’d like to invite visitors for an exhibition + show combining jewellery and stage performance.
Participating artists: Caroline Bach, Dariusz Wojdyga
Caroline Bach is a jewellery, textile, circus and burlesque artist based In France. She’s involved in several art scenes in France and abroad and likes to interweave them. Her crafting skills allow her to make her stage objects and her show practice feeds her jewellery practice. She is well implemented in the Netherlands jewellery scene (The Pool, the Wearhouse, Tilburg Textile Museum) and has also presented a few performances featuring her circus abilities (Arnhem Museum, Aerial Circus Amsterdam).
Dariusz Wojdyga mainly works with art jewellery, but his artistic practice encompasses a wide range of interdisciplinary activities, where art and craft, performance, eco-activism, sustainability and collectivism are combined into a coherent whole of creative activities. He graduated from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts with a Master in Media and Materials- Based Art, specialising in metal- and jewellery art. Dariusz comes from Poland, living and working in Oslo since 2005.
