((O)) by Jim Klok

((O)) is part of an ongoing research into non-standardized ways of image reproduction by Amsterdam based artist Jim Klok. The hands-on research focusses on how imagery sourced through photography, drawing and collage can evoke new ways of reproduction. In this site specific work, an image is blown up and reproduced by using a matte medium and water, allowing for direct printing onto the wall. The wet paper pulp is rubbed away by hand and what remains is the toner ink sitting on the wall, resulting in a 5 by 3 meter mural.
