MILK SOLO: Tra Fasi

From May 24 till June 8, as a part of our Pretty Pissed festival, we are showcasing the MILK solo by Charity Charly. The photo series gives a visual impression of the ongoing documentary ‘Tra Fasi’, which celebrates Suriname’s underground punk culture and the creative forces behind it. With her MILK solo, Charity highlights both the stillness of Suriname as the vibrant energy of skaters and an alternative event in Paramaribo organized by Shavero. The versatile punk musician and event organiser who is at the centre of the scene and is the lead in Charity's documentary. The project celebrates the subculture’s authenticity, resilience, and commitment to limitless self-expression.

Charity Charly is a self-taught filmmaker and creator. Her work focuses on telling visually powerful and honest stories about people and cultures that are often overlooked. ‘Tra Fasi’ will premiere in October 2025 and marks Charity’s debut as a director.
