It's wild how fast climate disappears from the front page the moment a war breaks out somewhere. As if one crisis replaces the other. As if droughts, floods and failed harvests are happy to wait their turn. Newsflash: they're not.
At Warming Up Festival, we're talking about climate justice. Because people still act like this is something to deal with after the next crisis. Meanwhile, that future is already here. A future shaped by war, migration, energy shortages and a handful of people getting rich while the planet becomes harder and harder to live on.
Through spoken word, poetry, prose and music, we're looking for language that doesn't dance around the facts. No greenwashing. No election talk. No empty promises. Just one question: who benefits? And who pays the price?
The climate crisis doesn't care what else is happening. Neither do we.
