Come to Mediamatic to have a talk with our artists-in-residence! Learn more about their work or talk about your project with the artists who inspired you. Maya Erin Masuda are open to creative consultation and discussing ideas.
Meet-a-Maker is a 30-minute session to have a one-on-one talk with artists currently working at Mediamatic. We are lucky to be inspired by the many artists who work and stay with us for exhibitions, residencies and workshops. We welcome you to meet them and be inspired as well!
About the artists
Her artwork uses time-based media and spatial installations to spotlight non-human elements, such as synthetic skin, lab-grown milk, and polluted plants. Through these vivid sensory details, she challenges the tech-driven, biological control exerted over both human and non-human bodies. Informed by her own experiences with reproduction, hormone therapy, and social norms, her work imagines trans-species solidarity as a form of care and resistance. Ultimately, she reframes toxicity and inflammation as complex tools that can redefine what it means to belong, pushing past traditional human-centered views.

You can choose a 30-minute time slot between 16:00-16:30 and 16:30-17:00.
The meeting takes place in the greenhouse restaurant or in the artists working space.

Artists/Students discount €7,50*
