Celebrating (more or less) 5 years of Lukraak
Thomas and Marcus met at De Ruimte for the first time on the 11th day of the 11th month of the 2021st year. Since then they have been up to no good, making haphazard music of crooked beauty along the edges of experimental jazz and neo-neo-dada-dada. The enormous task of celebrating this historical encounter wouldn't be possible alone, so they decided to invite some of their favorite people to perform too. We will together bask in the glory of the absurdness that life is offering!!
Some idea of what will happen throughout the evening:
LukrXLaak
For the first time ever Lukraak... but extra large!! Many many people, very few instruments. There are no bad ideas to Kraakluk. In fact, sometimes the worst ones prove to be the most useful. Has to be experienced. Line-up to be announced.
Inconsistent Interrupted Inconsistencies
Lukraak invites many many people with or without instruments to improvise with them for 18 seconds each. Maybe the audience can you join too? It is like karaoke without a song, and for a very short time but repeated over and over again.
Etmaal
An ode to inertia
Is it possible to hold a note for 24 hours? To let life not get in the way of art for one full Earthly rotation? And can all of that then be compressed in 20 minutes? And why?
In preparation of his new piece "Etmaal", Luka Schuurman will perform a 20 minute try out of his 24 hour composition.
Alfredo Genovesi
will say words in a physical space while time is passing by.
I'm absolutely scared of those lines. / I don't know what to do with them.
