Kojey Radical
Kojey Radical (Kwadwo Adu Genfi Amponsah) is an East London-born artist whose work seamlessly blends rap, funk, spoken word, poetry, fashion, art, and film. Renowned for his vivid storytelling and emotionally honest lyricism, he has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most innovative and genre-defying creative voices. His work explores themes of identity, family, heritage, masculinity, and personal growth, drawing deeply from his Ghanaian roots and lived experiences.
Following a series of critically acclaimed EPs and collaborations, Kojey released his debut album, ''Reason To Smile,' in 2022. The album received widespread praise for its warmth, introspection, and ambition, earning a shortlist nomination for the Mercury Prize. Beyond his own artistic achievements, Kojey is passionate about creating space for emerging and alternative voices, using his platform to champion underrepresented artists and foster a more inclusive creative landscape.
