Kinky Masterclass 22: Sacred Kink - Connecting Tantra & Bondage

Mediamatic welcomes Dante Woods for the monthly Kinky Masterclass series, an ongoing program developed and hosted by Dante. Taking place in our space, these evenings invite curiosity, exchange, and embodied learning in a safe environment. Mediamatic is glad to host the series, offering a setting in which this independent program can unfold.

In this workshop we will explore Shibari Bondage through the lenses of Tantra, sacred sexuality and the importance of rituals, to set our minds and the space we inhabit for a journey of self discovery. Tantric techniques form the basis of this workshops approach of the Japanese art form of tying ropes, and to deepen the meaning of participants experience.
Other aspects that will play an important role, such as the importance of touch and moving energy, consent and safety, creating our own ritual, mixing kink and esoteric practices. The practice of Sacred Kink can be seen as a form of empowerment to open the door of personal growth.

- Practical workshop-style.
- Exercises are for solo and partnered participants.
- Bring own yoga mat / towel to sit & practice on.
- Bring own ropes (if you have them), otherwise we provide.
- Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
- Wear comfortable clothing.
- Please be on time.
- We learn in a respectful environment where consent is mandatory. First ask!
- No sexual interactions during workshop.
