Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra
Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra is a dynamic musical ensemble led by the British pianist, bandleader and television presenter Jools Holland. With a career spanning decades, Holland has channelled his passion for rhythm & blues into a much-loved orchestra. The diverse group of talented musicians perform a wide range of music: from boogie-woogie and jazz to soul and funk.
Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra have given countless performances, both internationally and at Paradiso, and every live show is a celebration of music. Holland’s virtuosity on the piano, combined with the powerful horn section and a tight rhythm section, creates a sound that is both nostalgic and contemporary. The orchestra also boasts an impressive list of guest artists, including Eric Clapton, Tom Jones and Amy Winehouse. On Friday 9 April, he will be bringing the following special guests to Paradiso: Pauline Black (The Selecter) and guest vocalists Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and Sumudu Jayatilaka.
