Ghostly Kisses
Ghostly Kisses is the ethereal dream-pop project of Margaux Sauvé and Louis-Étienne Santais from Quebec City. Following "Darkroom" (2024), an album inspired by anonymous letters from fans around the world, the duo has turned inward, embracing a more introspective and reflective direction. Their music blends dream-pop with cinematic minimalism, subtle electronics, and poetic songwriting that conveys emotion in a delicate yet powerful way.
Written during years of traveling and performing across continents, their recent work explores different forms of distance — physical, emotional, and existential. Their songs reflect on estrangement, longing, the passage of time, and the tension between the human desire for permanence and life’s inevitable impermanence. At the same time, their music reveals a growing sense of intimacy and connection through themes of home, love, vulnerability, and creating a meaningful life.
Through delicate melodies, orchestral textures, and deeply personal storytelling, Ghostly Kisses creates an immersive atmosphere where small gestures carry profound emotional weight. Their work captures the beauty and contradictions of life, balancing the ordinary with the extraordinary, and reminding listeners that genuine connection can endure despite distance, change, and time.
